I imagine and shape the moments where commerce and contemporary culture meet: exploring how art, design and ideas drive human progress.

I work at the intersection of art, culture and commerce – writing, advising and creating collaborations that connect brands to contemporary discourse in genuine ways.

My writing appears in Wallpaper* and Forbes, exploring culture in its broadest sense. As editorial director at Voices, I bring together leading voices in wine. Through my consultancy work with Spinach, I help brands navigate cultural strategy and positioning.

Among my books is The Life Negroni, connecting the cocktail to Italian Futurism, Memphis design and the rituals of living well. My latest, The Life Champagne, explores the drink's cultural biography from historical ritual to contemporary symbol of savoir-faire and celebration.

At the heart of my work is curiosity about how arts and ideas drive human progress, and a belief that culture matters most when it invites dialogue rather than imposing meaning.

What I Do

  • For over twenty years, I've shaped editorial narratives that connect culture to broader conversations. As senior contributor at Forbes and regular contributor at Wallpaper*, I write about art, design and contemporary culture. As editorial director at Voices, I bring together leading voices in wine.

I lead editorial vision for publications, build contributor networks and commission work at the intersection of multiple disciplines. Whether writing long-form features, conducting interviews with cultural leaders, or shaping a publication's strategic direction, I work from the same belief: culture matters most when it invites dialogue rather than imposing meaning.

  • I develop cultural positioning strategies that connect brands to contemporary discourse. This means moving beyond traditional brand storytelling to find where a company's authentic heritage intersects with broader cultural conversations – then creating the frameworks, manifestos and collaborations that make those connections felt.

Work includes La Vita Campari manifesto for Campari Group, rooted in their artistic legacy and sprezzatura, and cultural strategy for automotive and spirits brands seeking authentic engagement with art and design. I advise on brand presence at art fairs, biennales and design festivals – helping brands enter cultural spaces as contributors, not spectators.

I work with brands where cultural depth matters and intelligence is valued over speed. The companies I work with don't sponsor art, they enable it.
